7:15-7:55 settle down in parade square and wait for flag raising to start + speech made by principle etc. (sec 1s join your classes for flag raising then after the ceremony is over, come over to the side of the parade square to help unpack the benches and help other sections carry things that they are unable to bring back to the band room.

Those who are able to the French braid at home please do so because we do not have many ppl who can tie French braid. Remember to bring your hair ties!

Report in band uniform. Remember to bring your ties! As for shoes, if you are not planning to wear your court shoes to school. Please remember to bring them along. Other than court shoes, only school shoes are allowed. If you do not have stockings, please wear your school socks if you are going to wear your school shoes. Label your court shoes so you will not wear someone else's one and won't create any unnecessary problems.

 

Other than Hui Yen from Eupho, no one is allowed to come later than 7am. But also try not to come too early as the teachers will not open the gate so early.

 

Please rest well, SLEEP EARLY!

Eat your breakfast in the morning tmr and make sure you are full. But make sure you do not over eat as well, it wouldn't be nice if you were to throw up at SCH.

 

Lastly, remember to watch Mrs Chua and immerse yourself in the music.

Woodwinds: work on running notes. Do chromatic scales when doing warmup

Brasses: Pay more attention to your tone, dynamics, tuning, phrasing and articulation.

Sec 1s: work to improve tone and air support. Aside from Mr lee's assignments go back to fundamentals and strengthen them (buzzing, breathing properly, tonguing)

Remember to work with a metronome and  to ask your SLs if you need any help.

Also remember to pay $5 for lunch during the June holidays to your SLs. Those that owe parents letter pass to the secretaries and those that are unable to come for the first week of June holiday practice please submit the Hong Kong trip form tomorrow.

Here's the schedule for Monday:

1:45-2:10pm Sections who need to set-up instruments for photo taking display: percussion -- drumset, tubass -- 2 tubas, euphonium -- 2, trombones -- 2, horns --2, trumpets --2. Please assign people who have lunch during this time or finish class by this time to come down earlier, set up and move to foyer.

2:00-2:10pm Sec 2-4s change into band uniform + court shoes + stockings, Sec 1s wear full school uniform with school tie. Arrive in band room. (try to change at different toilets once you come out of class then proceed to band room so that we will not waste time on waiting for people to come out of the toilet)

2:10-2:20pm gather at the foyer and help to move instruments if needed. The rest not helping line up in 2 rows, Sec 1 + 2 and Sec 3 + 4, according to height at the service road near the foyer (the straight road nearer to FM, not the road with the hill)

2:20-2:30pm wait for our turn for photo taking

2:30-4:30pm move back instruments to band room and FM and change out of band uniform (those who have class change back after class and hurry back to band room if your class ends at 4:30pm, those who don't have class help to move instruments back and pack up, then stay in the band room and do homework or revise for test/exam etc.)

4:30-5:15pm Sec 4 farewell video

-(Chair ICs) stack up chairs and bring to the backstage toilet cubicles (whichever toilet is closer) please ensure that pathway is not blocked

-(Stand IC) bring stands and stack neatly outside hall near backstage entrance, against wall (bring to whichever side is closer) please dont block any entrances/pathways

-help percussion/tubass bring instruments  backstage toilet cubicles (dont block the path)

Afterwards, everyone gather outside hall (parade square side) with instruments+files

After de-conflicting/resolving technical issues, second run through will commence

4.00-4.15: set up stage

SLs divide section again:

-firstly: help percussion/tubass bring instruments onto stage

-secondly: chair ICs bring chairs out

-thirdly: stand ICs bring stands on stage

-lastly, everyone bring files+instruments and be seated on stage

4.20-4.30: band present speech day items again

4.30-4.50: clear stage

SLs divide section:

-firstly, leave instruments (except tubass/perc) files in hall at the sides

-chair ICS bring chairs to back of hall

-help perc/tubass bring instruments to FM

-stand ICs bring stands back to FM

-everyone be back in the hall for speech day debrief punctually at 5.00

5.00-5.30: speech day debrief

5.30-6.00: sectionals

6.00-6.30: pack up+debrief

6.30: dismissed

Do note, the schedule will most likely be subject to change, should there be any impromptu ammendments tomorrow during the rehearsal, so do be prepared, and listen out closely for instructions. Move quickly and quietly, and always be considerate, dont block the path for other performers 

Dance is performing after us, so (brasses) please refrain from emptying saliva onto the stage floor
