Here's the schedule for Monday:

1:45-2:10pm Sections who need to set-up instruments for photo taking display: percussion -- drumset, tubass -- 2 tubas, euphonium -- 2, trombones -- 2, horns --2, trumpets --2. Please assign people who have lunch during this time or finish class by this time to come down earlier, set up and move to foyer.

2:00-2:10pm Sec 2-4s change into band uniform + court shoes + stockings, Sec 1s wear full school uniform with school tie. Arrive in band room. (try to change at different toilets once you come out of class then proceed to band room so that we will not waste time on waiting for people to come out of the toilet)

2:10-2:20pm gather at the foyer and help to move instruments if needed. The rest not helping line up in 2 rows, Sec 1 + 2 and Sec 3 + 4, according to height at the service road near the foyer (the straight road nearer to FM, not the road with the hill)

2:20-2:30pm wait for our turn for photo taking

2:30-4:30pm move back instruments to band room and FM and change out of band uniform (those who have class change back after class and hurry back to band room if your class ends at 4:30pm, those who don't have class help to move instruments back and pack up, then stay in the band room and do homework or revise for test/exam etc.)

4:30-5:15pm Sec 4 farewell video

5:15-5:30pm Debrief

Those sections who want to bring along their instruments for photo taking but are not listed above, please assign someone to come to band room earlier and set up so that we will not report late.

As we are a big group and don't have much time, after you are released from class at 2pm, please do not waste time and move slowly because we do not want to hold back the other groups who are having photo taking after us.

Please remember to return your black files to QMs (Hee Jae and Yun Qu) by Monday.

Reminder: Bring your band uniform in clothes cover!

Those who went for Musart concert please bring your ticket stubs on Monday and pass to the secretaries (Julia and Ashley -- horn), if not you will not get your money back.

Hi band,

As there will be oral going on in the afternoon, please refrain from playing outside

The Sec1/3 mep students will be having their jazz workshop in the band rm from 3-6 so please take everything you need from the band rm and head to FM for sectionals (sec3-4)/recording studio for combines with mr lee (sec1) 

Please refrain from entering the band rm during this period to avoid disruption

Those who come late will have to place their belongings in the FM storerm

Main band schedule:

Come at 2.30

2.30-2.45: set up (please bring instrument cases from band rm to FM after setting up)

2.45-4.30: last sectionals at Fm: practice march bluesky and sunshine/jubilant overture (sec4s take this last oppourtunity to help your juniors and impart whatever knowledge/skills you need to pass down)

4.30-5.15: sec3s and sec4s handover in FM (sec4s will be passing down knowledge/information to sec3s to prepare for their roles)

5.15-5.30: pack up+debrief in FM

5.30: dismissed

Some sec4s may not be around as they may have chinese oral, so sec3s please take charge when nececssary

Please empty and return your black files to QMs by debrief

Sec1 schedule:

Come at 2.30

2.30-2.45: being instrument cases to FM and set up instruments (place cases neatly against the side)

2.45-3.15: proceed to FM recording studio to set up chairs (please bring along your irecommend and settle down quickly)

3.15-5.00: combines with mr lee

5.00-5.30: pack up chairs+debrief (in recording studio)

5.30: dismissed

Hi band,

Come at 7.30 

report in full band uniform:

-court shoes (unless you left it in storerm)

-vest

-tie

-band skirt

-stockings

-band blouse

(dont need to tie braids)

7.30-7.45: set up (don't put files/stands  on stage yet)

7.45-8.30: warmup+short combines/run through (standing) at FM

 (do not play outside as guests/parents may start to arrive)

8.30-8.45: start moving onto stage with instruments and files and stands (quietly) (curtain will be closed and screen will be down)

8.45-9.00:seated quietly on stage and prepare to perform

9.00-9.15: perform invicta, school song, and frozen (remember to smile and sit properly)

9.15-9.30 (approx duration): SLs split section: 

-chair ICs shift chairs into toilets

-help shift perc/tubass to FM (except drumset, conga, bongo shift to band rm)

-stand ICs bring all stands to FM

-bring instruments and files down

Once you are done wih your duty, please help tubass/perc

9.30-9.50: pack up+short debrief

9.50: sec2,3s dismissed, sec4s leave belongings in band rm, proceed to hall to attend rest of speech day, prize winnners gather and go up together

After speech day, sec4s help move chairs from toilet to back of hall/help carry clavinova back to MPR

Hi band,

Report to band rm at 12.45

12.45-1.15: SLs divide section:

-bring chairs from back of hall to set up on stage

-help large percussion move up

1.15-1.30: band rm spring cleaning

-bring chairs from FM to band rm (make sure there's at least 45 chairs in band rm)

-percussion to clear unused glock+table, bass drum

-hide the stands in band rm in the store rm

1.30: dismissed

Hi band,

Main band schedule:

Sec2,3,4s are dismissed at 2.30

2.30-2.45: set up/change into band skirt+court shoes (labelled) you can also change before coming down to band room,

2.45-3.00: SLs divide section:

-Chair ICs bring chairs form back of hall to set up on stage

-Stand ICs bring stands on stage

-Help percussion/tubass set up on stage

and lastly, bring up instruments and files on stage (please refrain from bringing any uneccessary items up)

After you are done with your duty, please help tubass and percussion

3.00: speech day rehearsal starts

After rehearsal, SLs divide section:

-chair ICs bring all chairs to back of hall

-stand ICs bring stands down to FM

-help bring percussion/tubass to FM

And bring your instruments and files down

Those finished with their duty, please help percussion and tubass

After shifting everything down, change out of court shoes and band skirt, sectionals until 6.00 (speech day prize winners may continue with their own rehearsal)

6.00-6.30: debrief+pack up

6.30: dismissed

-please remember to bring your band skirt and court shoes tomorrow if you have not already done so

-file all scores into black files

-sit properly/upright and maintain a good image of the band

-please try to move as quietly as possible when the curtains are closed

-do note that everyone (sec2,3,4s) has to come back on friday from 12.45-1.30 after dismissal to set up stage/clean band rm (more details will be announced in tomorrow's blog post)

2.30-2.50: set up chairs for combines with Mr Lee

3.00-4.00: Mr Lee will take everyone for combines

4.00-5.00: Mr Lee will check section by section/individually

And remember to bring your band skirt (in a clothes cover) and court shoes to school to put in the storerm, if not you'll have to bring them on thursday for half-dress rehearsal

Sec4s come after mock SS exam, you are allowed to try other sections' instruments from 4.30-4.50... please handle their instruments with care and refrain from disturbing the rest of the section

2.45-3.00: JLs take warmup at FM

3.00-6.00: combines (SLs check on sec1s occasionally) after which, we will be moving instrument cases back to band rm

6.00-6.30: pack up+debrief

6.30: dismissed

QMs will be distributing black files so please file in your scores for frozen, school song, and fanfare by tuesday

Sec1s schedule:

Come at 2.30 (put bags in band rm)

2.30-2.45: set up (in FM)

2.45-4.50: sectionals (SLs will come and check on you occasionally)

4.50-5.00: pack up at FM then bring cases back to band rm storerm

5.00-5.30: debrief in band rm

when you are setting up in FM, please try not to block the way

sec4s are only allowed to try other instruments from 5.15-6.00 (please try not to disturb the other sections too much, and do handle their instruments with care)

Do note that for rehearsal on thursday, we will be wearing court shoes and band skirt, so you may wish to bring these on mon/tues so that you can put them in the store rm

(People going for fairfield's limelight concert may leave at 6pm)

Sec1s do not need to come

Speech day rehearsal:

You are dismissed from lessons & remedial at 2.30 (if you have not had your lunch period, please eat and be back by 3.00 latest)

Please come down immediately to the band rm 

2.30-2.45: set up

2.45-3.05: SLs divide section:

-help perc and tubass up

-chair ICs bring chairs from back of hall to stage (please leave some space for perc/tubass to shift in first, and remember to set up behind the curtains)

-stand ICs bring stands up

-bring instruments and files up

(Please do not bring up anything unnecessary eg: water bottles)

Once you are done with your duties, please help perc/tubass/anyone else in need, no one should be standing around doing nothing

3.05-3.20: warmup if time allows (lesson 5,7,9) 

Ppl receiving awards pls go for prize winners briefing at 3.10pm. 

3.20: rehearsal starts (fanfare, school song, frozen)
