do total training and scales with different articulations 

eg. in each C major 

-staccato all notes

-accent C, staccato D, staccato E, staccato F, accent G...

- accent+ tenuto C, tenuto D, tenuto E, tenuto F ....

then in other keys

3.15-4.25 sectionals on Mario and National Anthem. 

We expect you to perfect the Mario rhythm by today. 

4.15-4.30 combines on trumpet voluntary for related parties in the FM 

4.30-5.50 combined sectionals with CMs on Anthem and Mario 

Brasses + LWWs + Percussion in FM

2.30pm-2.45pm: set up

3pm-4.30pm: combines with Mr Chua in the FM on super mario bros (note the change in where we face)
4.30pm-6pm: sectionals on musical evening pieces and national anthem, those involved in trumpet voluntary can start working on them too
6pm-6.30pm: pack up and debrief

2.45pm-5pm: section warmups and work on super mario bros, more time do work on other musical evening pieces (+ national anthem), we don't have much time left
5pm-5.30pm: pack up and debrief

Also, please memorise and practice national anthem during part of your sectionals as total defence day is nearing.

2.50pm-4.30pm: combines on super mario bros
4.30pm-6pm: sectionals on super mario bros
6pm-6.30pm: pack up and debrief

For super mario bros, please practice at a slow speed first and apply what Mr and Mrs Chua had taught. Section leaders are encouraged to lead your sections in playing super mario bros together. Do approach any senior or CM if you have any questions!

Dear band,

Many of the seniors will be busy with auditions so please take ownership of your own Sectionals time and be productive. Remember we want to be very good! Not just good. 

Also, storeroom will be locked for security reasons so if there's a need to open the storeroom, approach either Shyer Wern or Li Na

Hi band!

We are excused from lessons at 2.30pm. Please remember to change into your 2015 band t-shirt before coming for band and read the band blog very carefully because there's a lot of movements going on.

2.30pm-2.45pm: set up and self tuning
2.45pm-3.20pm: go through LHM, seconds out and big band in summer with CMs in the FM, those not involved in combines or the performance have sectionals (no playing outside! )
3.20pm-3.40pm: sec 2s, sec 3s and others involved in big band go to the parade square and set up enough stands and percussion quickly, no need to set up benches
3.40pm-3.50pm: performance for light hearted march, seconds out and big band in summer

LHM then seconds out then In Summer. 

While waiting for you performance, stand at the side and smile, interact with audience. Once you are done with all your performances, go back to your sections 

3.50pm-4pm: move everything out of parade square
4pm-6pm: sectionals for all on musical evening pieces. Mr and Mrs Chua will be around to guide us (no playing outside until open house ends about 4.30pm)

4.30pm-6pm: sectionals on CCA open house pieces: light hearted march for sec 2s, seconds out for sec 3s and in summer for big band people

Remember to come to band in your band tshirt 

2.30-2.45 set up instruments 

2.45-3.45 watch japanese video in band room (with instruments)

3.45-4.30 warm up and combines in FM

4.30-4.45 move out to ISH by front stairs

no benches (unless you really need)

people holding instruments and not able to help perc and tubass go first and move onto the bridge towards the hall to make space for others

4.45-4.55 last rehearsal with guides

4.55-5.00 move all instruments back to band room and benches back to canteen

 

5.00-6.00 dinner (provided)

6.00-6.05 last briefing in band room

6.05-7.45 watch campfire. 

sit along the corridor near the band room and sit together. 

watch out for the game RIDDLES and for the Exco. 

move out benches,stands and files and perc and tubass quietly. 

benches :

first row: 4 benches, second row: 4 benches, third row: 3 benches

then collect instruments and phones with flashlights (must be silent, no vibration and move to your hiding spot  

we are performing after Edelweiss

8.00-8.30 performance 

after performance, on melissa's cue, move everything out quietly. percussion can be left in the band room 

8.30-9.00 pack up and leave (no debrief)

do long tones, scales (if you dont know what to do, do Bb and Eb) and work on projection (practice outside and project as far as possible) 

315-4.05pm sectionals on orientation campfire pieces, ensure that everything is perfect, performance standard. if more time work on stars of tomorrow (those who hve punishment please meet the QMs at 3pm)
4.05pm-4.15pm: move out to the parade square (shift benches, help percussion and tubass)
4.15pm-4.50pm: rehearsal in the parade square
4.50pm-5pm: shift benches, perc and tubass back
5.05pm-5.30pm: pack up and debrief

Please do total training, i recommend Bb and Eb and staccato etude

3.15-5.15 sectionals on campfire pieces 

when you are sure of your campfire pieces, move on to knight of the sky

5.20- 5.50 combines in FM on campfire pieces 

6.00-6.30 pack up and debrief
