Dear Main Band,
8.15-8.30: await arrival of schools (ushers will be waiting in the foyer for them)
8.30-8.40: ushers to brief schools on rules as they bring them to the MPR to put down their belongings (cases and bags)
8.40-8.45:
- bring your respective schools to the FM (if they are ahead of schedule, they can start warming up while waiting for everyone to report)
- cgssb:
1. report to the FM with instruments and scores to await arrival of schools
2. put instruments down on the left of conductor chair, against the wall
8.45-9:
- briefing and introduction of the respective reps of the different parts + quick icebreakers (introduce themselves to each other)
- cgssb: involved in icebreakers
9-9.10:
- split into your respective sections (woodwinds, brasses, percussion, fluboes) and report to your respective combine sectional areas
- cgssb:
1. report to combined sectionals area and start warming up
2. do not set up chairs and stands. they will be set up once everyone in the combined section is present in the room
9.10-10.30: combined sectionals with the conductors/tutors
10.30-10.35: put instruments down in allocated areas in FM then head to canteens for tea break
- bring stands and scores along
10.35-10.50: tea break
- cgssb: involved in tea break, sit together with combined section
10.50 - 11: go back to FM and prepare for combines
11-12: combines with conductors as a band
12 - 1: cgssb normal lunch

12-12.30: buffer time for the schools to head back (school should be clear by 12.30 sharp!)
12.30-1: lunch for those with usher duties

1-4: combines with Mrs Chua on limelight pieces
things to take note of:
1. band will be split into 4 groups with their respective leaders and conductors)
- woodwinds (leader: rachel lim, conductor: mr chua)
- brasses (leader: ying shyn, conductor: mrs chua)
- fluboes (leader: vrinda, conductor: flutes tutor)
- percussion (leader: abigail, conductor: percussion tutor)
2. remind the other bands if you see them that no shoes, food and drinks are allowed in the FM (water bottles should be placed outside the FM as per usual)
3. locations for combined sectionals (from 9-10.30)
- woodwinds: monet lab
- brasses: band room
- fluboes: recording studio
- percussion: FM
4. other important locations
MPR: for the different schools to place their bags and cases
FM: meant for brief (8.45 - 9) combines (from 11-12)
toilets: male toilets (at the end of the hallway from the MPR, beside every female toilet)
female toilets (can be found at the really anywhere but just direct them to the nearest ones)
canteen sinks: for them to wash their mouthpieces
5. please look friendly and approchable! all of you are hosts of this event so please do your best to help the other schools. Smile:)
6. if you can, please come early to help set up chairs etc for the respective locations, your help will be greatly appreciated :-)
7. if you can please take some time to look and read through the set piece before combined sectionals start
8. please take note that all cgssb members will be taking part in the combined sectionals and the combines, you guys will no longer be having your own sectionals so this timeline applies to everyone
9. please arrange your bags neatly against the band room wall with all your cases in the storeroom as we will be using the band room for brass combined sectionals
