Hi band,

These are the videos for the Sock Hop and Firework display. You may want to look through it during your spare time. We expect everyone to memorize and be familiar with their actions by 10 Oct Thursday when band resumes so that we can be more efficient and not WASTE anyone's time.

During this long break, do brainstorm for ideas for props and remember to promote Spectrum to your friends, classmates and teachers. Each person is to sell a target of at least 10 tickets, (you may even want to start collecting money, as long as you don't lose it) Ticket money collections will start after band resumes. Do remember to bring along your champion seminar invitation and tie for champion seminar which is this coming Tuesday 17th sep 12:00pm-2:15pm (gather outside the hall punctually by 12), or else you will not be able to enter the hall. For those who have not received the invitation, we have feedbacked to the house leaders, they should pass the invites soon.

10:45-11:30: Big band in hall, everyone else have Sectionals on:

11:30-12:30: Lunch (provided)

3:45-4:00: move down to band room:

-SLs assign some people to help Percussion and Tubass

Those who have to do punishments tomorrow, come at 8:00am

Come back from lunch Punctually if not you’ll have to do punishments. And in case of unforeseen circumstances, try your best to settle lunch early.

Be at your specified locations for level item at least five minutes beforehand

Move Quickly and keep Quiet we will be watching out for sections that are moving to slowly or making too much noise
Stands and chairs should be placed and kept Neatly

9:00-9:10: Move up to hall:

-Send some people from your section to help percussion and tubass and even other sections

-No stands (memorise sock hop)

9:10-10:45: Sock Hop display in Hall

10:45-11:30: Big band (everyone else not involved, have sectionals)

11:30-12:30: Lunch (not provided)

-please be back in the hall at least 5mins before 12:30

12:30-3:45: Sock Hop display in hall (Mrs Chua will come to check)

3:45-4:00: Move down to band rm:

-Send some people to help percussion and tubass and even other sections

4:00-4:30: Debrief

4:30: Dimissed

-Mr Lee will not be coming tomorrow

-Some Sec3s still have lessons tomororw in the morning

-For the sake of convenience and to ensure that the stands will not be messy, for tomorrow and wednesday, it will no longer be necessary to take the assigned stands for your section. Just take the stands closest to the perimeter and make your you return it after use. Stand check will be conducted on wednesday

-Last person to use the band room please off ALL lights and aircon

-Come back punctually after lunch break, please help

-Tomorrow, we expect everyone to be HELPING each other, keeping QUIET, and moving FASTER

-Chairs and stands should be stacked and packed NEATLY

-Sec1s hand in your ZOcards by tomorrow, or else you have to do punishment

Do note that Many Sec3s will be absent in the morning, so JLs please take charge if need be. Hui Ling and Ashley please take charge of Latecoming and record all latecomers and their timings of arrival, then pass the list to Hui Wen.

Things to take note

Hi band,

Just some things to note:
-Sep hol practice dates:
9 sep
10 sep
11 sep
For all days, come at 9:00am (including half hour rule) you'll be dismissed by 4:30pm, we would mostly be using the hall to practice the band display pieces (Sock hop and firework), as such please make use of your free time now to memorize these pieces.

-Our encore piece for Spectrum has been changed to sock hop

-For those Sec3s going for the Leadership camp on 6sep & 7sep 9:30am-5:00pm:
  -please report by 9:10 for registration
  -please remember to bring your fold-able stands, instruments, writing materials    and any other accessories (eg: grease/oil...)
  -we will be going separately, so just meet at ACJC
  -please wear this year's black band tee to standardize our outfits

-For those going for the Musart concert on 8 sep at 5pm @esplanade, please remember to keep the ticket stubs and pass them to Rachel/Louisa on the day itself after the concert

-Please start advertising Spectrum 2.0 if you haven't already done so, start getting money from your friends and family!

-Please check the photo attached. If any changes need to be made to your names, inform SLs, and SLs whatsapp Shueh Yee by 7sep

-Please also be reminded that write ups have a limit of 50-100 words, email to Shueh Yee by saturday 7 sep

-Zo cards are due on 9 sep, Sec1s please take 4 each from outside the GO before school closes for the holidays. Decorate them to promote Spectrum 2.0 and include details (eg: 23rd Nov, @school auditorium, 7:30-9:00, 'movie theme' etc.) Be creative!

Hi band!

3:00-5.30: Sectionals on

Please be quiet when you go into the band room after lessons/lunch as there is a lesson in the band room from 2.30-3pm. Set up quietly and be considerate! :)

Sec 1s: Mr Lee will be coming tomorrow from 3-5pm. Set up quickly and go to the FM Studio.
Double bass and LWW will have tutors coming tomorrow, so other sections cannot use recording studio and band room while their tutors are having the session with them.

5:30-6:00: Move stuff to Band Room

We cannot use the FM during September holidays due to MEP O-level recording, so we need to shift Percussion, Trombone, Tuba, Double Bass and all the stands to the band room. Please place your bags at the piano side of the band room so that we can move quickly and efficiently. Stands are to be put near the storeroom door but don't block the door. Tuba, Trombone and Double Bass put your instruments at the table area. Percussion in area next to the clavichord.

Other reminders: please tell Elinorre your band photo orders and pay the money ($4 per photo) by tomorrow. Also, SLs who did not bring your section notebook on Saturday, bring it tomorrow!
