Dear band,

7am: report in band uniform with stockings and ponytails. Please bring the vest and tie in a clothes cover and court shoes if necessary
7am-7.15am: set up
7.15am-7.45am: warm ups in band room + run through of pieces
7.45-8.05am: move up percussion
8.05am-8.15am: change into vest and tie and be seated in the hall
8.15am-9am: wait for the ceromony to start + uniform check
9am-9.30am: peformance for CG60 Speech Day
9.30am-9.45am: pack up
9.50am: dismissed

Please have a good breakfast tomorrow before coming to school. Also, do listen out for instructions by teachers or exco.

Hi band,

MAIN BAND

Hope you have had a good rest after Musical Evening. We are going to prepare for Speech Day which is on 16 April, Saturday.

3pm-3.15pm: set up
3.15pm-5pm: individual warmups and have sectionals on Knight of the Sky (main band) and let the good times roll (big band people) - refrain from playing outside as there are sec 4s taking their prelim oral
5pm-5.30pm: pack up and debrief

Please spend the time wisely to practise knight of the sky and the big band piece. There is still room for improvement, and the sec 3s are expected to play the solos in kots for speech day. You can listen to the recording for musical evening and see how you can improve (eg. Balance and tuning).

SEC 1s

3pm-3.15pm: set up
3.15pm-5pm: sectionals - please make good use of I recommend and Standard of Excellence, and continue drilling on building your embrochure and producing good tone. Do ask your seniors for help if needed.
5pm-5.30pm: pack up and debrief

REMINDERS

-Please ensure you get optimal 8 hours of sleep. (DON'T sleep later than 10pm we will check)

-Before coming for band, have your breakfast. If not, please approach Li Na outside band room to get force-fed. ☺

-Throughout the day ensure you drink plenty of water (no heat stroke/fainting due to hunger/thirst/ exhaustion)

-Be very careful (don't trip on court shoes and sprain/break your ankle/leg)

-If you feel unwell tell SLs or EXCO!!!

Do not attempt to self-medicate/ignore problem.

-Bring plasters if you get blisters from court shoes easily.

Bring: 

i) Instruments!!! Files!!! Tuners!!! 

ii) Attire parts - court shoes (if you're not wearing to school), stockings, tie (in clothes cover) and vest (in clothes cover), black standard hair ties, comb 

iii) Others - 1.5litre water bottle for your sections (if you're the one bringing), gift exchange items
