4:15-4:45 set up and warm up (If your mother tongue fortnight ends promptly at 4 then go straight to band room to set up)

4:45-6:00 sectionals (work on And then the Ocean glows)

Woodwinds: work on running notes. Do chromatic scales when doing warmup

Brasses: Pay more attention to your tone, dynamics, tuning, phrasing and articulation.

Sec 1s: work to improve tone and air support. Aside from Mr lee's assignments go back to fundamentals and strengthen them (buzzing, breathing properly, tonguing)

Remember to work with a metronome and  to ask your SLs if you need any help.

Also remember to pay $5 for lunch during the June holidays to your SLs. Those that owe parents letter pass to the secretaries and those that are unable to come for the first week of June holiday practice please submit the Hong Kong trip form tomorrow.

4:25-5:00 As there is not much time to hold sectionals we would be doing physical training instead to build our stamina

Remember to bring your PE shirt unless you feel comfortable running in blouse.

18:00-18:30 Pack up and debrief

Please do not waste time after mother tongue fortnight ends because we don't have much time because NBC is on August 3rd. Come down to band room quickly.

Main band:

15:30-15:50 set up

15:45-18:00 sectionals (work on "And Then The Ocean Glows")

18:00-18:30 pack up and debrief

Sec 1s:

15:30-15:50 Set up instruments

15:50-16:35 warm up with your sections and practice

16:35-16:45 move to band room and set up chairs for combines with Mr Lee

16:45-18:00 Mr Lee will be coming down to assist you in helping your tone after the long break. He will assign some things for you to do. If he leaves before 6pm, join your sections for sectionals and work on what Mr Lee told you

18:00-18:30 pack up and debrief

Just a reminder to the Sec 1s, you are required to stay for band practices on Monday and Thursday until 6:30pm and also Tuesday practices, which ends at 5:30pm.

ALL Sec 3s are expected to come for band practices during these 2 weeks and June holidays. There was a misunderstanding about the preparation for O level Chinese earlier. So higher mother tongue students are not excused from band in these 2 weeks.

Please come down immediately after mother tongue fortnight has ended.

Make use of the time you have for sectionals to work on "And Then The Ocean Glows" as it will be used as our NBC choice piece and NBC is only 2 months away.

Sec 1s have mother tongue fortnight and some Sec 3s have Lit trip briefing, so you are expected to come down for band immediately after that and join your sections for sectionals.

Schedule for tmr is as follows

Main band:
16:05-16:25 after mother tongue fortnight everyone go to the band room and set up.
16:25-16:40 warm up in the fm
16:40-18:00 mr Chua will be coming with a new piece. he will go through it with us
18:00-18:30 pack up and debrief (be in band room by 18:15)

Sec 1s:
16:05-16:25 after mother tongue fortnight everyone go to the band room and set up.

18:00-18:30 pack up and debrief (be in band room by 18:15)

Sec 3s who take higher mother tongue language are not required to come for practices from 19 may to 29 may (week 9-10).
