Hey band!

Come down for band after your classes, stage band will be having combines with Mr Chua while the rest practice national anthem, I gotta feeling and 细水长流, memorize the scores if you haven't and SLs check whether your section has memorized. 

For Stage Band only
On Monday, bring a pair of denim jeans on Monday for the teachers to see whether it is appropriate to wear on Tuesday. Our attire for the performance is band tee + jeans. Also, we have to make two trips to esplanade on Tuesday.

On 2/7 (Performance day)
0800: Leave school for esplanade (No need to wear performance attire)
0830-1030: Sound check
1100: Leave esplanade, return back to school
1600: Leave school for esplanade
1730: Performance
1800: Leave esplanade and return back to school to pack instruments

We hope that you will practice intelligently on Monday as it is our last practice before the performance! And also vote for the band tee designs if you haven't done so. :-)

Hey band! 

Attached are the band tee designs, please take a look at them and afterwards, click on the survey link for the band tee design you want below! Everyone has to do the survey and Vanessa Leong Shi Yan (Head Band Coordinator) will check! Your response is due by 26th June and SLs check with your sec 4s if they want the band tee, but band tee is compulsory for all band members!

Hi band! 

Come at 8.30am.

9 am to 10am: Simple drill steps

*this is to prepare us for our year end concert, it will be easy I promise! 

10am to 10.15 am: Water break.

1015  to 12pm- Sectionals, big band people to familiarise the music during sectionals, saxes remember to practise bohemian. 

The rest have sectionals for national anthem, slow march, I gotta feeling, 细水长流

12pm to 1pm: Lunch 

Mr Chua will take big band and Mrs Chua will take the rest to prepare for national day.

Remember to hand in your result slips to secretary(s) if you haven't! If you have received the form for the band camp, please get it signed and hand in by 7/6 Friday. Those who don't have the form, your SLs would have collected it for you. Collect from your SLs and get it signed by 26/7 Wednesday. Secondary 1s, you are allowed to wear your PE T-shirts for foot drills tomorrow, but, you will have to change out of your PE T-shirts before going for sectionals because you are not allowed to touch your instrument if you're in your PE T-shirt. Those who have band t-shirt, you can just wear it. Lastly and most importantly, today's the deadline for band tee design. Email it to Leong Shi Yin Vanessa by 2359. That's all! Have a good rest and we'll see you tomorrow :-)

Hey band!
Schedule for 6/6:
9-12: Warm ups and combines with Mrs Chua (Total training, I gotta feeling, 细水长流，national anthem) MUST bring tuners
12-1: Lunch
1: Sectionals
Saxophones work on Bohemian Rhapsody, hello dolly and rock around the clock. Drumset, trombone and trumpet work on big band music. Mr Chua will be around to coach. The rest prepare for national day.
Mr Lee is coming after 1 to test the sec 1s individually on B flat chromatic scale and any other studies they are supposed to have been practising.
4: Debrief and dismissal
Also, please remember to bring $20 for ticket money for ACJC concert
