OBS Week 27/5-1/6

Hi Band!

Secondary 3s will going for OBS from 27 May to 31 May. Therefore, Secondary 2 JLs will be taking over our job for 1 week! Just in case you still don't know who they are, they are Hui Ling, Ashley, Rachel and Yun Qu. Please listen and don't make the job difficult for them! 

Following will be your "SLs" for the week.

*SLs please take attendance on a piece of paper, secretary(s) will be collecting them on Saturday 1/6 or during first week of June Holiday practices. 

Draft Timeline

Always check the whiteboard for schedule! JLs will be writing them on the board. Please ensure that your shoes are neat. (Band room will need thumbprint access, ask teachers to help you open)

Monday 27th May
Come at 2.30pm. Sectionals will be from 3pm to 6pm on Monday. Please take sectionals seriously! Do not slack. You will be practising Disney Fantasy and National Anthem. To be dismissed by 6.30pm. 

Thursday 30th May
Come at 2.30pm. Set up by 3pm. If Mr Chua is coming, set up chairs before he comes. Remember to greet any teachers or conductors. Please do not talk during combines unless necessary. Warm up fast by yourself before going for combines. Pack up your chairs and leave FM by 6pm. Do not leave any water bottles behind. To be dismissed at 6.30pm.

Saturday 1st June (Optional for Secondary 3s)
Come at 7.30am. JLs will take note of latecoming. Those who are late will have to do punishment, so please do not be late! Set up before 8am. There may be combines and sectionals. If there are combines, set up chairs before 8am. Pack up by 12.15pm. To be dismissed at 12.30pm.

It will probably be from 9am to 4pm. We will confirm the time again when we're back on 1st June.

12th June 7.30pm @ Esplanade
Ticket will be at $20/$25

I know it will be difficult without your seniors by your side guiding you, but I believe that you guys can do it! (: Listen to JLs and always ask them anything if you are unsure. Band on 23/05

Hello bandits:)

Please come down for band right after you MTL fortnight tomorrow at 3:30pm.
The timeline will be written on the band room whiteboard tmr as some details are not confirmed yet. (Sorry for any inconvenience caused)

Sec1s: Mr Lee will be coming down at 3:30pm so please set up (chairs and instruments) and be in the band room asap. If Mr Lee leaves early (before 6pm), please proceed to your respective sectional areas for sectionals. Practise national anthem and if possible disney fantasy.

Concerts:
- many of our seniors recommend us to go for ACJC concert
- xinmin concert
More details will be announced tmr

Band resumes on 20/5

Hi Band, 

Band resumes on 20/5 Monday, please remember to stay back for band practice. It is the same timing as before from 3pm - 6pm, half an hour rule applies. Sec 1 members please be informed that from now onward, you will have to stay back for the full band practice, including Saturday practices. Do let your parents know. Please remember to hand in your particulars form if you haven't to the secretary(s). 

Please ignore this if you are not involved in the Leadership Camp on 18/5
Only SLs, Librarians, Sec 2 JLs, QMs, and Exco are involved in this.

Come at 7.30am or earlier
8am-9am: Mrs Chua will be doing an intro and briefing in FM Studio 
9am to 11am:  SLs for flute, percussion, trumpet, trombone, horn, eupho, tuba will have tutors. (Eupho and Tuba will be together with one tutor) Go to your own respective spots. The rest of the SLs with no tutor will be with Mr Chua in the band room. 
11am-11.15am: Short Break (You may bring your own food)
11.15am-12pm: Gather back at the FM studio for debrief 
12pm: Dismiss
