26/02 Reminders for Limelight tomorrow!

Reminder:
Band room will be open tomorrow morning if you want to prepare anything beforehand/change uniforms/put uniforms/buy stockings

In addition to your instruments and files, please remember to bring props tomorrow to esplanade- the respective props your section is supposed to bring.

Half band uniform will be allowed tomorrow, so band tee and band skirt will be allowed. Let your section know about that!

From 10 to 11am tomorrow, pass the tickets you want to put at the concierge to any of the majors. Write 1) Band Member 2) Name of collector 3) number of tickets 4) amount to be collected (for unpaid tickets) it will be $0 for those that were already paid for (-: put them in envelopes please.

25/2/2013 - Preparation for Limelight

This is the confirmed schedule

1000-1045: Gift exchange, hair tying, photo taking, changing etc.
1045-1100: Band talk (The majors would like to speak with you)
1100-1130: Lunch
1130-1145: Moving out of instruments (Bring your instruments out of the respective rooms, to loading area)
1145-1215: Loading of instruments
1215: Assemble at foyer
1230: Set off
1300: Arrive at Esplanade
1300-1400: Handing out of passes. Set up, warm up,Percussion  report to satellite counter and unload
1430-1630: Main band rehearsal
1630-1730: Alumni rehearsal
1730-1800; Ensembles rehearsal
1800-1830, Dinner. (People free during alumni and ensemble practice can eat first).
1830-1900: Warm up
1900-1930: Get ready back stage
1930: Hit the stage
2115: Concert end
2115-2145: Pack up of instruments, getting out of rooms. (Make your way to loading bay to help perc)
2145-2215: Loading (Not everyone has to help, those who aren't please get ready to board the bus)
2215-2245: Travel back to school
2300; Dismissed

The band room will be opened in the morning for the next two days. People with loose ends to tie up can make use of this opportunity. Eg, uniforms, filing, etc.

We need you to be on task and always on your toes, such that you are always ready for the nest step. JLs, please stay alert as we might have to tap on your help.

Also, SLs please be reminded to have a check list of everything. Especially files instruments mutes props etc.

Sec ones

Hey sorry I forgot to post about sec ones.

Tomorrow you'll have sectionals. Your seniors won't be with you as we're having our last limelight rehearsal. You'll do whatever Mr Lee has been asking you to practice.

Please remember to bring your ticket money for those who wish to purchase them.

Hey band

Last practice, last rehearsal.

We'll go through the whole thing, those with remedials try to cancel and arrange for consultation another time.

Repertoire has been changed again:
1. Princess mononoke
2. Vesuvius
3. Sound of music

Tomorrow the band room will be open at 7am if you need to change your uni sizes. If you cannot make it the last day will be Tuesday 7am.

Please remember to bring light sticks and hair clip for Whitney and edelweiss respectively.

Those who have yet to bring vest, stockings, court shoes, hoodie please do so by tomorrow.

I hope you guys will cherish this last practice.

One more important thing. If you need to put tickets at the ticket counter for your friends to collect, please put your tickets in an envelope with your name, your friends name, number of tickets, and indicate if it's paid or unpaid. This is important.

Interview

Sec fours please come down at 7.50am for interview if you can make it. For sections, SLs must be present. And one person from each role (eh 1 QM, 1 librarian etccc)

Hi band
it's the second last prac and last alumni prac I hope you take this very seriously.

Remember band starts at 9.15, ie report at 8.45
8.45-9.15 set up
9.15 be in the fm for warm up. Please don't be late and take your own sweet time. Tune before coming.

We'll run through the whole programme with props and movements. Everything has to be well done or else it will be cancelled and we ARE serious because the esplanade people are very strict. If you don't wanna do it properly then don't do.

12 debrief
1230-130 lunch break

Do remember:
1. SLs delegate roles (carrying of mutes files bags etc INCLUDING THE PROPS
YOUR SECTION IS INCHARGED OF AND ALUMNI INSTRUMENTS)
2. Bring vest, tie, stockings, court shoes, HOODIE (for ensem)
3. Bring money to buy stockings
4. Have black files ready
5. Please bring your skirts/blouses if you need to change sizes

IMPORTANT: you are dismissed at 10am on Wednesday 27/2/13 please replace your tests and find out what you missed in school.
Sec fours with bio prac on Thursday 28/2/13 are excused.

Please don't chiong your concert gifts last minute. You need to sleep by hook or by crook by 10pm on Tuesday. (Yes Syazana that includes you. Oh Cherry you too. )

Hey band.

This is urgent. SLs if you haven't asked your sec threes about the ticket orders, please do so now. We need it in by tonight.

Sec ones:
Mr Lee will be coming down at 3pm tmr. AND I EXPECT EVERYTHING TO BE SET UP INCLUDING INSTRUMENTS AND CHAIRS AT 2.45pm SHARP. which means you come down by 2.30pm.

Main band:
Please note that your sec one "mentors" have to meet Mr Lee at 3pm so that he can brief you guys. If sec fours aren't there sec threes. If no sec threes sec twos.

Tomorrow Mr Chua will be coming down to work on bohemian, then big band, and then Whitney and Alice. While he's working on the ensems please go for sectionals on Whitney and Alice. I expect you guys to not repeat the mistakes he has repeated over and over again BECAUSE IT'S THE THIRD LAST PRAC TO LIMELIGHT.

Please cherish this third last practice okay, and sell more tickets please ticket sales are horrible.

I need a sec three (preferably JL) who ends early (2.30 or before that) to text me. Any sec three will do! 97736669 thanks

Hello band

Tomorrow those who are getting the key please open the band room / FM asap. Please help the whole band set up chairs for combines okay, so that when the people who end late come we won't have to waste time. Tomorrow we'll be running through the programme again with props, and there's trumpet voluntary rehearsal at 4.15. The whole band will be going for national anthem rehearsal at 5.30. Please help to move percussion.

Please cherish these last few practices, we only have 4 more pracs to limelight. Countdown: 10 days to limelight.

Those who forgot to bring the form on Saturday SLs please remind your section to bring.

Hey band

Remember band starts at 9.15am tomorrow. Means you report at 8.45. You may come for extra sectionals (which is optional) earliest 8.30.

9.15: go fm warm up, run through limelight programme with props and ensem and encore (music from glee) as end with national anthem.

You are allowed to come in your other shoes tmr if your shoes are muddy.

SLs please fill in google doc in prev post. Prepare $5 max for lunch. Might not be macs.

Hi band.

Mr Chua will come down tomorrow to continue with auditions. Combines at 4.30 Vesuvius. Trumpet voluntary rehearsal at 4.15. Mr Chua will be running through national anthem for at least half an hour. If you guys haven't already known, total defence is on 19th.
